Flagship consultation
CSS architecture review
A structured review of how your styles are organized, compiled, and applied across routes—so the next feature does not add another !important patch.
Who this is for
Product teams with 15–80 front-end routes, multiple contributors, and stylesheet bundles that grew faster than the governance docs. Common triggers: preparing for a design-system rollout, merging legacy and modern stacks, or recurring regression bugs traced to cascade conflicts.
What you receive
- Written report (PDF and markdown) with severity tags: block release, schedule soon, monitor.
- Annotated diagram of current layer order (@layer, imports, critical CSS) and a recommended target state.
- Inventory of design tokens vs hard-coded values, with suggested consolidation steps.
- 60-minute readout call with your tech lead and optional Q&A for junior developers.
What we need from you
Read access to the repository (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket), a short product context note, and two recent pages that represent “healthy” and “problem” UI. We do not need production database access.
Process and timeline
- Kickoff (30 min): confirm scope, branches, and review environments.
- Deep read (3–5 business days): static analysis plus local run; we follow your README.
- Report draft: shared for factual corrections only—not scope expansion.
- Readout: walkthrough within ten business days of kickoff for standard repos under 120k LOC CSS-related.
Included and excluded
Included: architecture, naming, responsive layout CSS, animation performance red flags, and documentation gaps.
Excluded: rewriting components for you, backend performance, accessibility audits (we may note obvious color-contrast issues but do not certify WCAG), and penetration testing.
Delivery
Remote by default from our Sandton office timezone (SAST). On-site readouts in Johannesburg can be arranged for an additional travel day fee.
Pricing basis
Quoted from repository size and number of CSS entry points. See rate guidance; exact fee confirmed after a short intake form.
